Salman Khan Warns Paparazzi Over Photos of Actresses, Vows to Take Strong Action
Salman Khan has renewed his warning to paparazzi over photographs of actresses taken from behind without consent. After addressing the issue on Bigg Boss 20, the actor has vowed to take strong action against photographers and platforms.
While posing for photographs at the press conference, Salman had a message for the photographers. “Peeche ka yaad rakh lena, itni izzat to de hi sakte ho sab log,” he said, urging them to be mindful of how they captured celebrities.
The remark came days after Salman raised concerns about photographers taking pictures of actresses from behind without their consent. He had addressed the issue on Bigg Boss 20 in September, highlighting the need to respect individual boundaries.
Salman revisited the matter during an episode of Bigg Boss 20 when actor Neha Dhupia appeared as a guest on the show. Neha thanked him for speaking out against the practice, prompting him to explain why photographers needed to distinguish between celebrities who were comfortable with such photographs and those who objected to them.
The actor pointed out that some celebrities allegedly invite photographers and pay them to take such pictures, while others are uncomfortable with being photographed in that manner.
“There are also some women and some guys who call them (paps) there, pay for them there, they ask them to do this. Wo bhi kya krein?” he said.
Emphasising that photographers should respect individual preferences, Salman said they could take such pictures of people who wanted them but should not do so when someone had made it clear that they did not consent.

“Jinko chahiye wo karo bhai. Jinko nahi chahiye unko chuna nahi tum,” Salman added.
Addressing Neha directly, the actor warned that photographers could face consequences if they continued taking such pictures after being explicitly asked not to.
“When you girls come and say ki 'Ye nahi karna', uske baad karenge to phir dekhenge unko,” he said.
Salman also expressed concern that his earlier remarks had not been taken seriously. According to the actor, the practice appeared to have increased despite his warning, prompting him to signal that he was prepared to take further action.
“Now they started doing even more but I'll take a big stand on it,” he said.
“They think right now it is a joke. And, some big platforms are doing it. I'll take full on action,” Salman added.
His latest remarks at the IIFA 2027 press conference brought the issue back into focus, reinforcing his call for paparazzi photographers and platforms to respect the boundaries of celebrities who object to being photographed in this manner.
