In a statement shared through an Instagram post, Dhawan said that young people represent the future of the nation and their dreams must be acknowledged. He added that difficult situations require patience and belief in the system, expressing confidence that every challenge can be resolved through perseverance and collective efforts.
"Our youth are the future of our country. It is important to understand their dreams, but at the same time, it is equally important to have patience during difficult times and maintain faith in the country's institutions and government. I believe that the solution to every challenge comes from patience. India has always moved forward and will continue to move forward in the future," Dhawan wrote.
Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued his first response to the ongoing agitation, highlighting the importance of protecting the future of students and announcing the establishment of fast-track courts to ensure swift and strict punishment for those involved in examination paper leaks.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Prime Minister Modi stated that individuals responsible for damaging the future of young people would not be spared. He said that concerned authorities and officials had been instructed to take all necessary measures to address the issue.
"Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth! We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students. Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared," Prime Minister Modi wrote.
Meanwhile, large-scale demonstrations continued at Tolstoy Marg and Janpath in New Delhi, where activists and students intensified their protest against the Central government over examination paper leaks and concerns related to the education system.
During the demonstrations, protesters raised slogans targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and the Delhi Police. As tensions increased, several protesters allegedly attempted to block moving traffic, while some reportedly threw water bottles onto the road. Other demonstrators lay on the roadway, leading to major traffic disruptions in the area.
Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh also shared a message on social media, urging people to support peace, safety, and opportunities for children and citizens. He called for a constructive resolution through dialogue amid the continuing protests over the NEET examination paper leak issue.
"To every child, student, woman and man: you deserve the opportunity to learn in peace, grow with safety and chase your dreams. Your well-being is the foundation of a brighter India. Let's come together to build communities of care, opportunity, and hope. Through dialogue we can find an amicable solution for the sake of India's future," Yuvraj Singh wrote in an Instagram story.
The ongoing protests have brought renewed focus on examination security, accountability, and the protection of students’ futures. With political leaders, public figures, and authorities addressing the issue, the demand for a transparent and effective solution continues to remain at the centre of the nationwide debate.
