The Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League 2026 recorded its highest-ever audience reach with more than 3.8 billion watch minutes across television and digital platforms. The season also marked the successful launch of the inaugural women's league, featuring top Indian cricketers and strengthening opportunities for emerging talent while expanding fan engagement.
The MCA said the men's tournament attracted a television audience of more than 65 million viewers, reflecting the league's growing popularity. Television watch time increased by 61 percent, while digital viewership on JioHotstar registered a 66 percent rise compared with the previous edition, underscoring the tournament's expanding reach across multiple platforms.
The 2026 edition featured several prominent Indian cricketers, including Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, Shardul Thakur, Sarfaraz Khan and Tushar Deshpande, further strengthening the league's profile and competitive appeal.
A major highlight of the season was the launch of the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai Women's League. According to the MCA, the new competition has been introduced to strengthen the women's cricket ecosystem by creating greater opportunities for emerging players and providing an additional platform for developing talent.
Commenting on the successful season, MCA President Ajinkya Naik said the association was particularly encouraged by the response to the inaugural women's league, describing it as another significant step in the organisation's commitment to promoting women's cricket and creating more opportunities for emerging talent.
The MCA also reported that the league's integrated marketing campaign generated more than 158 million social media views during the season, reflecting strong public engagement across digital platforms. The association added that it intends to further strengthen the tournament in future editions through increased fan engagement initiatives and wider community outreach.
With record-breaking television and digital viewership, the successful introduction of the women's competition and sustained fan engagement, the 2026 edition of the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League has reinforced its position as one of India's leading domestic franchise cricket tournaments while laying a stronger foundation for the future growth of men's and women's cricket in Mumbai.
