Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 has been launched in India as the world’s lightest wide foldable smartphone weighing 201 grams. The device features Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 4,800mAh battery, advanced AMOLED displays, Android 17, Wi-Fi 7, and premium storage options, targeting the growing foldable smartphone market.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and comes with a large 4,800mAh battery. Samsung has designed the device to provide an enhanced experience for gaming, entertainment, reading, and productivity.
The foldable phone features a 10:16 cover screen ratio when folded, while the main display offers a 4:3 aspect ratio when unfolded. Samsung stated that the display is optimized for immersive gaming and movie viewing. When rotated, the same screen ratio becomes suitable for reading, allowing users to comfortably view articles, e-books, and long-form content.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 weighs 201 grams and features a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a 1Hz to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Vision Booster technology. The cover display includes a 5.5-inch WUXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 1Hz to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Vision Booster technology.
The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and is available in three memory configurations: 16GB RAM with 1TB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
