It further advised candidates not to trust, share, or rely on any unverified examination-related content and urged the public to report suspicious material related to the Government of India through official channels. The National Testing Agency also separately rejected the allegations, describing them as completely fake.
The clarification comes against the backdrop of the controversy surrounding the original NEET-UG examination conducted on May 3, which was later cancelled after authorities confirmed that the question paper had been leaked prior to the examination. The incident triggered widespread concern and outrage among students and stakeholders, ultimately leading to the decision to conduct a fresh examination on June 21.
In order to assist candidates during the re-examination process, authorities have also announced an additional 15 minutes of time, allowing students to complete formalities and fill in the required details without pressure.

Amid growing speculation on social media, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan sought to reassure candidates during a briefing in Bhopal on Friday. He urged students to remain confident and focused on their preparation, stating that the re-examination would be conducted in a fair and well-organised manner.
Meanwhile, a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the original paper leak continues. By May, 13 individuals had been arrested, most of them from Maharashtra. The investigation remains active as authorities work to identify the source of the leak and determine how the question paper was circulated before the examination. Investigators are also examining the possible involvement of individuals linked to the National Testing Agency.
The ongoing developments underscore intensified scrutiny over examination security mechanisms and reinforce the authorities’ emphasis on maintaining transparency and integrity in one of the country’s most critical entrance examinations.
