It seeks to connect singers, artists and creative industries from countries across the world with their Indian counterparts while expanding future editions and international collaborations in multiple regions.
The programme has been structured around several thematic segments. An intimate artistic gathering will allow musicians, poets and performers to share stories and inspirations behind their work. Thought leaders and artists will participate in discussions exploring the role of culture, creativity and music in shaping society. Diverse musical traditions and contemporary artistic expressions will be showcased on a common stage, while creative residencies will encourage songwriters and musicians to exchange ideas and develop new works.
The initiative also includes immersive recording experiences that transform cross-cultural collaborations into original music productions. Sessions dedicated to sound engineering and music production will feature leading professionals from the industry. Industry experts will provide practical guidance on artist discovery, distribution, branding and the business of music. Additional discussions will examine the influence of music on films, advertising, streaming platforms, gaming and modern storytelling. Artists will also receive recognition through awards, honours and certificates. A dedicated platform will connect international artists, cultural institutions and creative enterprises with opportunities within India's expanding entertainment ecosystem.
Several panel discussions and workshops have been scheduled throughout the event. These sessions will focus on connecting global talent with India's creative future, examining the role of culture and creativity in society, exploring music as a tool of cultural diplomacy, assessing the responsibilities of artists in society, discussing the future of culture and cross-border collaboration, and encouraging direct audience interaction. Additional conversations will explore how creativity influences communities and nations while celebrating the meeting of diverse musical cultures.

Speaking about the initiative, Thomson Andrews said that GHAMMAK was founded on the belief that music remains one of humanity's most powerful tools for connection. He stated that the platform aims to create meaningful opportunities for artists, institutions and communities to learn from one another, celebrate cultural diversity and build lasting relationships that extend beyond the stage.
The inaugural India-Bhutan edition of GHAMMAK stands as a significant cultural bridge between two nations, demonstrating how artistic collaboration, shared creativity and musical innovation can strengthen international understanding while creating new opportunities for global cultural engagement.
