Recalling the tragic attacks, Gadkari said he was in Mumbai when the terrorists carried out the coordinated assault. He noted that after attacking Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the terrorists entered Cama Hospital, where nurses demonstrated remarkable courage in protecting patients and saving lives under extreme circumstances. According to Gadkari, the film authentically captures those events and pays tribute to the selfless service of the medical staff during the crisis.
The Union Minister expressed hope that the film would inspire younger generations to serve the nation with dedication and commitment. He said he expects new audiences to draw inspiration from the story and develop a stronger sense of duty toward the country.
Bharat Bhagya Vidhata was released on June 12 and focuses on the heroism of nurses at Mumbai’s Cama Hospital during the 26/11 terror attacks. The attacks claimed the lives of 166 people and left more than 300 others injured, including 26 foreign nationals and 18 security personnel.
Actress Girija Oak, who was also present at the premiere, said the film tells the story of the nurses who saved numerous lives during the attacks. She stated that the characters portrayed in the film are ordinary individuals who performed extraordinary acts in a moment of immense danger. According to Oak, the film reflects deep gratitude toward those whose courage and sacrifice helped protect countless lives during the tragedy.
Featuring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata brings to the screen the untold story of the healthcare workers who stood firm in the face of terror. By revisiting the events of the Mumbai attacks and honoring the bravery of Cama Hospital’s nurses, the film serves as a tribute to resilience, service, and sacrifice during one of the most devastating incidents in India’s history.
