Hailing the Maharashtra government’s decision to strengthen physical infrastructure, CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke said, “Finally, govts are waking up to the broken education infrastructure in rural India. The pressure is working. Keep raising your voice!”
The official ‘X’ handle of the Cockroach Janta Party described the initiative as a “major achievement” of its efforts. “After Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, now the Maharashtra Government is taking the initiative to improve schools and the education system,” the official tweet reads.
The initiative was announced on the occasion of the birth centenary year of Hindu Hriday Samrat Hon. Balasaheb Thackeray and to mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Hon. Shri Narendra Modi. It will be conducted across Maharashtra from September 5 through Dussehra, October 20, 2026.

The state government’s move to improve school conditions follows the CJP’s ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign, under which members have been highlighting the dilapidated condition of government-owned schools across states.
When CJP members pinpointed issues faced by students in schools in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, steps were taken to overhaul the infrastructure. In one instance, a government school building in Jaipur, whose poor and unsafe condition was flagged by CJP members last month, was recently demolished by the authorities.
However, the campaign has also resulted in some districts in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan restricting the entry of outsiders, journalists, YouTubers, social media users and civil society representatives into government schools without prior approval.
A petition was also filed in the Supreme Court challenging the education authorities’ decision. The bench, however, refused to entertain it, saying, “We are not inclined to entertain the writ petition filed under Article 32 of the Constitution of India,” as quoted by the media house.
The Maharashtra campaign, running from September 5 to October 20, 2026, places the state’s school infrastructure and education system at the centre of a wider push for improvements, while the CJP continues to highlight concerns over the condition of government schools.
