While speaking to a commuter, the woman says, “It is 8:30 PM, all metro services are closed, and nearby metro stations are also closed.” Responding to her, the commuter says that those who leave their homes to earn their daily livelihood are facing difficulties. He explains that people want to reach home on time, rest peacefully, and return the next day with full energy to continue their work.
The commuter adds that ordinary citizens, who have no connection with any protest or disruption, are also affected and that authorities should consider their problems.
When asked why he was not travelling by auto-rickshaw, the commuter says that drivers are taking advantage of the situation and demanding double fares. He also mentions that heavy traffic congestion is another reason why he does not want to travel by auto-rickshaw. He says he is waiting patiently for metro services to resume.
The commuter further states that he left home at 10:00 AM and it was already 8:30 PM, highlighting the long delay and inconvenience caused during his journey.
The viral video has brought attention to the challenges faced by daily commuters during sudden public transport disruptions, particularly those who depend on Delhi Metro for their regular travel.
