The video shows the young man suspended upside down with both of his legs trapped in the branches of a tree. He can be seen struggling to support himself with his hands while another individual repeatedly strikes his waist and other parts of his body with a plastic strip. The victim is heard screaming in pain throughout the assault, but the beating continues without interruption.
According to the information available, the video was uploaded on Instagram by a person identified as Bhola Dubey Khanpur, a resident of Khanpur village. In the footage, Bhola Dubey can allegedly be heard instructing the attacker to continue the assault, saying that the victim should be hit on his legs and face so that he would never repeat such a mistake again.
Police have begun efforts to identify both the victim and the individuals involved in the assault as seen in the viral video. Authorities stated that the matter is being investigated thoroughly to establish all relevant facts and identify every person connected to the incident.
Tarabganj Police Station House Officer Shridhar Pathak said that the police took cognizance of the viral social media video immediately after it came to notice and ordered a detailed investigation. He stated that recording a video while assaulting someone and creating a social media reel in such a manner also constitutes an offence. Strict legal action will be taken after the investigation is completed. He further confirmed that the individual who uploaded the video is also being questioned regarding the incident.
The incident has drawn serious attention due to the extreme violence captured on camera and the alleged recording and circulation of the assault for social media content. The investigation is underway, and police are working to identify all those responsible before initiating appropriate legal action.
