IIFD Surat Students Showcase Exceptional Creativity at Aarasa Interior Design Exhibition

IIFD Surat Founder Director Mukesh Maheshwari stated that the institution has been successfully organizing this exhibition continuously for the past 12 years. He said that this year, more than 50 interior designing students enthusiastically participated in Aarasa and presented various space designs along with unique furniture concepts based on different themes.

The major highlight of the exhibition was the presentation of 10 distinct and attractive themes. These included concepts reflecting emotional states such as anxiety and happiness, along with specially designed dog-friendly furniture created for pet lovers, allowing both pets and their owners to sit comfortably together.

The exhibition also featured nature-inspired flamingo themes, music-based designs inspired by musical instruments, furniture concepts based on geometric shapes, and modern 3D-designed furniture pieces, which emerged as major attractions for visitors.

IIFD has been operating in Surat for the past 13 years and has been conducting career-oriented courses in fashion, interior design, event management, and skill development programs under the Skill India initiative since 2014.

The institution believes that skill-based education has gained greater importance compared to traditional education in the current era. After completing Class 12, students can pursue a three-year course alongside college education or independently build careers in this field. The initiative aims to help aspiring professionals establish themselves as successful interior and fashion designers with distinctive identities in the future.
