Foo Fighters Set for Historic India Debut with Bengaluru and Mumbai Concerts in January
Fifteen-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Foo Fighters will make their historic India debut in January with performances in Bengaluru and Mumbai. Frontman Dave Grohl has promised unforgettable shows as the legendary group brings its acclaimed live energy, chart-topping hits and latest album, Your Favorite Toy, to Indian audiences for the first time.
The iconic band will perform in Bengaluru on January 29 and at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on January 31 as part of a highly anticipated India tour. Ahead of the announcement, Foo Fighters founder and lead vocalist Dave Grohl expressed his excitement about finally bringing the band's celebrated live performances to Indian audiences.
“After 31 years as a band, we can't wait to finally play for our fans in India. It's taken a few years, but we promise it will be worth the wait. We hope Bengaluru and Mumbai are ready for a couple of very long, very loud nights,” Grohl said in a statement.
The India tour will feature the band's current lineup, including Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin. The concerts will also showcase an international supporting lineup designed to deliver a festival-style experience.
Audiences in Bengaluru can expect performances from Pinkshift, Alain Johannes, Die Spitz and The Pretty Reckless before the headlining act. In Mumbai, concertgoers will witness performances by Mali, Still In Therapy, Die Spitz and The Pretty Reckless ahead of Foo Fighters' appearance on stage.
Organisers stated that the carefully curated lineup spans multiple generations and genres, highlighting some of the most exciting voices in the global music scene.
For more than three decades, Foo Fighters have remained one of the most influential rock bands in the world, producing a string of globally acclaimed hits including “Everlong,” “My Hero,” “Learn To Fly,” “All My Life,” “Times Like These,” “Best Of You,” and “The Pretender.”
The band will arrive in India following the release of its twelfth studio album, Your Favorite Toy, which has been praised by critics as a high-energy return to the group's musical roots.
