Television Actress Sanchita Ugale Found Dead at Nalasopara Residence; Police Register Accidental Death Report
Television and film actress Sanchita Ugale, known for her roles in Kumkum Bhagya and Chhaava, was found dead at her Nalasopara East residence. Police registered an Accidental Death Report after the 22-year-old was declared deceased at a municipal hospital. No suicide note was recovered, and the incident remains under investigation.
According to Achole Police Station officials, Ugale, a resident of Sai Santoshi Building in Achole village, allegedly died by suicide after hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her bedroom using a sari between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm on June 14.
Investigators said the actress had locked the bedroom door from inside before the incident. Family members later discovered her and immediately rushed her to Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation Hospital. However, doctors declared her deceased after examination.
Police officials confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
Sanchita Ugale was known for her work in both television and cinema. She gained recognition through her appearance in the popular television serial Kumkum Bhagya and was also part of the Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava, where she portrayed the character Tarabai’s daughter.
On June 15, Achole Police Station registered an Accidental Death Report under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita based on a complaint submitted by her father, Machinda Ugale.
The actress’s final social media post was an Instagram reel in which she was seen dancing to a song. Following news of her death, the post drew an outpouring of reactions from fans, many of whom had earlier flooded the comments section with praise and appreciation for her performance and presence.
The sudden death of the young actress has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and among her followers, while police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
