Apple Creator Studio Gets Major AI Upgrade: New Features, India Pricing Revealed
Apple Creator Studio is getting major AI and creative upgrades, including MotionVFX tools, Pixelmator Pro integration, Logic Pro enhancements and AI assistants for productivity apps, alongside subscription prices and new features in India.
The new features are scheduled to roll out through the App Store this November as a free update for active Apple Creator Studio subscribers. Alongside the expanded creative tools, Apple has outlined subscription prices in India, discounted plans for students and educators, family-sharing support and standalone purchase options for users who prefer perpetual licences.
Apple Creator Studio subscriptions in India will cost Rs 399 per month or Rs 3,999 per year, with a one-month free trial. Buyers of a new Mac or qualifying iPad will also receive three free months of the service under Apple's hardware offers. College students and qualifying educators can subscribe for Rs 199 per month or Rs 1,999 annually. A single subscription can be shared with up to six family members.
Users who prefer to purchase applications individually can continue to buy perpetual licences through the Mac App Store. Final Cut Pro is priced at Rs 29,900, Logic Pro at Rs 19,900, Pixelmator Pro at Rs 999, Motion at Rs 4,900, Compressor at Rs 4,999 and MainStage at Rs 2,999.
Final Cut Pro for Mac is receiving a significant expansion through its integration with MotionVFX, giving editors access to thousands of creative elements directly within the editing application. The collection includes themed templates, motion graphics, animated titles and transitions, along with dedicated tools for rotoscoping, object tracking and colour grading. Editors can also access Apple's Content Hub without leaving Final Cut Pro to incorporate Apple-curated stock video clips, photos and backgrounds into their projects.
The update also improves collaboration between Final Cut Pro and Pixelmator Pro. Editors can open still frames or images from the Final Cut Pro timeline directly in Pixelmator Pro, make detailed adjustments and have the changes saved back automatically without manually exporting the edited files. Users can also generate images from text prompts within their projects, adjust visual styles, access expanded keyframe easing controls for smoother animations and detach clips from the primary storyline.
Final Cut Pro is also adding support for 23 new transcription languages, enabling users to improve captioning and search workflows. These additions extend the application's editing, visual effects and content-management capabilities while reducing the need to switch between separate tools for common tasks.
Apple's Motion application is gaining built-in MotionVFX plug-ins for 3D camera tracking, cinematic colour grading and one-click visual effect selections. Other additions include text-based image generation, round-trip editing with Pixelmator Pro, keyframe easing controls, a new Displacement filter and an interactive demo project.
Compressor, Apple's video encoding application, is adding support for encoding Cinematic mode video captured on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.
Pixelmator Pro is introducing Generate Fill, a natural-language image editing tool designed to replace selected portions of an image based on written instructions. Creators can isolate an area using freehand, Quick Selection or Magnetic Selection tools, describe the change they want in plain language and allow the software to generate replacement content.
Logic Pro is also receiving several additions aimed at music production. The update includes a redesigned sound browser, an advanced stem splitter, a Sergio George producer pack and voice memo studio sound, expanding the application's available production tools and audio resources.
Apple is extending its AI capabilities to its productivity applications as well. Subscribers using Keynote, Pages and Numbers will gain access to context-aware AI assistants built on Apple and OpenAI architectures. The assistants are designed to work with the content and context of documents, presentations and spreadsheets.
These applications will also gain support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing third-party AI agents and automation software to read document contents, execute actions and apply edits automatically. The integration expands the scope for AI-assisted workflows across Apple's productivity suite.
With the November rollout, Apple Creator Studio is set to bring expanded visual editing, image generation, music production and AI-assisted productivity tools to its Mac, iPad and iPhone ecosystem. The update will be available at no additional cost to active subscribers, while Apple's monthly, annual, education and standalone purchase options will continue to offer different ways to access its creative software.
