Nitin Gadkari Highlights Zojila Tunnel, Kedarnath Ropeway and National Highway Expansion as Pillars of India’s Infrastructure Growth
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said major infrastructure projects, including the 14-kilometre Zojila Tunnel, 36 tunnels on the Jammu-Srinagar corridor, the Kedarnath Ropeway, and improved Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari road connectivity, are driving national connectivity, infrastructure-led growth, and long-term socio-economic development across India.
Addressing the Viksit Bharat Conclave in New Delhi, the Union Minister underscored the government's commitment to infrastructure-led growth, stating that large-scale transport projects are playing a vital role in transforming connectivity across the nation and supporting long-term economic progress.
Gadkari said that governance must remain rooted in nation-building and emphasized that politics should function as an instrument of socio-economic transformation. He stressed that infrastructure development is central to achieving sustained national growth and improving connectivity across regions.
The Minister's remarks highlighted the government's continued focus on expanding transport infrastructure through major road, tunnel, and ropeway projects, reinforcing efforts to strengthen nationwide connectivity from Kashmir to Kanyakumari while supporting the country's broader development objectives.
