Addressing Bharatiya Janata Party workers at the party headquarters in New Delhi this evening, the Prime Minister said the outcome marks the beginning of a new dawn for the nation. He stated that citizens have reaffirmed their trust in India’s democratic system, governance based on performance, and the spirit of “One India, Great India.”
Mr. Modi expressed satisfaction that the “lotus has once again blossomed,” attributing the outcome to the faith and confidence of the electorate. He also appreciated Bharatiya Janata Party President Nitin Nabin for his leadership and guidance to party workers during the electoral process.
Highlighting the essence of democracy, the Prime Minister remarked that victories and defeats are an integral part of the democratic process. He added that the world has witnessed once again why India is regarded as the “Mother of Democracy,” stating that the present outcome represents a victory for both Indian democracy and the Constitution of India.
Mr. Modi further noted that the record voter turnout in the recently concluded Assembly elections reflects a positive and encouraging picture of the country’s democratic strength. He extended gratitude to all individuals involved in the electoral process for their contribution to its smooth conduct.
In his address, Bharatiya Janata Party President Nitin Nabin also conveyed his gratitude to the people of all four states and one Union Territory for their continued support and trust in the Bharatiya Janata Party and the National Democratic Alliance. He stated that the election results in Assam, West Bengal, and Puducherry reflect the unwavering confidence of the public in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mr. Nabin further said that the party has secured a significant victory in West Bengal, which he attributed to the persistent efforts, discipline, and dedication of party workers across the state.
The leadership collectively underscored that the mandate represents a reaffirmation of democratic values and a strengthened trust in India’s constitutional framework, marking a decisive moment in the country’s political landscape.
