Housr Launches Zero-Deposit Renting Solution with CirclePe to Make Premium Co-Living More Accessible

Housr has launched a zero-deposit renting solution powered by CirclePe, allowing residents to move into premium co-living spaces without paying a traditional security deposit. The initiative reduces upfront financial burdens, simplifies the move-in process, and supports the rapid growth of India's expanding co-living market.

Housr, one of India's largest premium co-living operators, has introduced a new zero-deposit renting solution powered by CirclePe, marking a significant step towards making rental housing more financially accessible. The newly launched product allows residents to move into Housr properties without paying a traditional security deposit, eliminating one of the biggest upfront financial barriers associated with renting while simplifying the move-in process.

The innovative offering addresses one of the most persistent challenges in the rental housing market, where tenants are typically required to lock up several months' worth of savings as a security deposit before occupying a property. Through CirclePe's financing layer, which has been seamlessly integrated into Housr's resident management application, residents can now avoid paying a large upfront security deposit and instead pay a small monthly amount. The solution is designed to provide greater financial flexibility while making move-ins more convenient, seamless, and affordable.

Commenting on the launch, Deepak Anand, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Housr, said that the company has consistently focused on making premium living more seamless for its residents and that the partnership with CirclePe further enhances that experience. He stated that by removing the security deposit barrier and enabling seamless technology integration within the Housr application, the company is making the move-in process significantly simpler for its customers.

The launch comes at a time when India's co-living sector is witnessing rapid expansion. According to a report by Colliers, the country's co-living market is projected to grow fivefold and reach Rs. 200 billion by 2030. Despite this growth, the existing rental ecosystem continues to require substantial security deposits. In Bengaluru, for example, a tenant may have to lock up as much as Rs. 2 lakh as a security deposit before moving into a single flat, with similar conditions prevailing across several major metropolitan cities that accommodate large populations of working professionals.

As the rental housing market continues to evolve, Housr believes that zero-deposit renting can remove one of the biggest obstacles faced by tenants while creating a more seamless and financially accessible rental experience. With this rollout, the company aims to bring zero-deposit renting into the mainstream of premium co-living, making rental accommodation more convenient, resident-friendly, and financially inclusive for a growing number of urban professionals.
