DS Group to Bring Marriott International's W Hotels Brand to Delhi NCR with Rs. 400 Crore Luxury Project

DS Group has announced a Rs. 400 crore partnership with Marriott International to launch a 200-room W Hotels luxury property near Delhi NCR's Aerocity by 2027. The project marks the debut of the W Hotels brand in the region and supports the company's ambitious hospitality expansion strategy, including plans to double its room inventory by 2029.

Strengthening its presence in India's premium hospitality sector, the Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group), one of the country's leading FMCG conglomerates and multi-business corporations, has announced the launch of a new luxury hospitality project in partnership with Marriott International under the globally renowned W Hotels brand. The project will feature a 200-room luxury hotel near Indira Gandhi International Airport and is scheduled to open during the second half of 2027 with an estimated investment of Rs. 400 crore.

Strategically located near Aerocity, one of Delhi NCR's busiest hospitality and commercial corridors, the upcoming property is designed to serve both business and leisure travellers. The development marks the debut of the W Hotels brand in Delhi NCR and will become only the second W Hotels property in India after Goa.

The luxury hotel will be developed as a contemporary, design-led destination that reflects the global identity of W Hotels while embracing the cultural character of the region. Built around the brand's internationally recognized principles of detail-driven design, anticipatory service, and vibrant guest experiences, the property aims to redefine luxury hospitality for a new generation of travellers seeking sophistication, creativity, and immersive experiences.

Announcing the project, Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman of DS Group, said that India's hospitality industry is witnessing unprecedented growth, driven by a sharp increase in domestic travel and a significant demand-supply imbalance in the premium hotel segment. He stated that India currently has approximately 0.27 hotel rooms per 1,000 people compared to the global average of 2.2, indicating that the country's hotel penetration remains nearly one-tenth of the international benchmark.

He further said Marriott International is pleased to collaborate with DS Group, whose legacy of excellence and forward-looking approach to premium hospitality aligns with Marriott International's commitment to delivering differentiated, high-quality hospitality experiences built on strong partnerships and long-term value creation.

Inspired by the W Hotels philosophy of celebrating individuality, encouraging curiosity, and expanding perspectives, the hotel is expected to redefine traditional luxury hospitality. The project will feature avant-garde interiors, vibrant social spaces including the signature W Lounge, and a dynamic atmosphere that transforms the property from a conventional hotel into a lifestyle destination centred on design, music, culture, and social engagement.

The partnership reflects DS Group's strategic vision of expanding its presence in modern luxury hospitality while delivering premium, experience-driven destinations in high-growth urban markets.
