Two Young Men Drown in Farm Water Reservoir in Salivala Village
A heartbreaking accident in Salivala village under the Tibbi Police Station area claimed the lives of two young men, Ravindra Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan, who drowned in a farm water reservoir while collecting tanker water for irrigation work. Police officers, including DSP Ramesh Chandra Machra, reached the scene and began an investigation.
The deceased were identified as 22-year-old Ravindra Kumar and 19-year-old Shah Rukh Khan, both residents of Salivala village. According to initial information, the two youths were at an agricultural field located in the 8 SBN Rohi area of Salivala when they entered the water reservoir and drowned.
After the incident came to light, local residents and authorities retrieved both bodies from the reservoir. The bodies were subsequently shifted to the mortuary of the Community Health Centre in Tibbi, where post-mortem examinations will be conducted.
Senior police and administrative officials rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Chandra Machra, Station House Officer Hansraj Luna, and Sub-Inspector Harvansh Lal, along with a police team, reached the site and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
The incident has cast a pall of grief over Salivala village, where both young men were well known. Their sudden deaths while engaged in routine agricultural work underscore the ever-present dangers associated with open farm water reservoirs and have left the local community in deep shock.
