BJP President Nitin Nabin Sends Premium Indian Mango Hampers to Diplomats from 82 Countries in Cultural Outreach Initiative
Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Nabin sent premium Indian mango hampers featuring Gir Kesar, Banganapalle, Dussehri, and Benarasi Langra varieties to diplomats from 82 countries in New Delhi, highlighting India's horticultural heritage, cultural diplomacy, hospitality, and globally celebrated agricultural legacy.
Each hamper featured four of India's most renowned mango varieties, including Gir Kesar from Gujarat, Banganapalle from Andhra Pradesh, Dussehri from Uttar Pradesh, and Benarasi Langra from Uttar Pradesh. These varieties are internationally recognised for their distinctive flavour, aroma, superior quality, and strong regional identity, reflecting the diversity of India's agricultural traditions.
Along with the premium mango selection, Mr Nabin sent a personal message extending his greetings to the diplomats. In his note, he highlighted the cultural significance of the mango, describing it as a symbol of hospitality, friendship, and India's enduring agricultural legacy. The initiative seeks to present India's cultural richness through a traditional offering that enjoys widespread appreciation across the world.
The outreach is being viewed as an example of cultural diplomacy, using one of India's most iconic fruits to foster stronger international goodwill and deepen engagement with members of the diplomatic community based in the national capital.
India remains among the world's largest producers of mangoes, with its diverse varieties enjoying widespread popularity in domestic and international markets for their exceptional taste and quality.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, spoke about the wide range of mango varieties cultivated across the country, noting that every region possesses its own distinctive mango with a unique flavour and identity.
The initiative underscores India's effort to promote its agricultural excellence and cultural heritage through meaningful diplomatic gestures, reinforcing the global recognition of the country's iconic mango varieties.
