Aditya Pancholi Backs Interfaith Marriages, Says Marriage Is Between Two Individuals, Not Religions
Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi has voiced support for interfaith marriages, saying marriage is a relationship between two individuals rather than religions. His remarks came after an old video of Vindu Dara Singh discussing his marriage to Farah Naaz resurfaced. The article also highlights Pancholi's personal life, family, and decades-long acting career.
Pancholi made the remarks after an old video of actor Vindu Dara Singh resurfaced, in which he spoke about his personal life and his marriage to his former wife, Farah Naaz.
In the video, Vindu Dara Singh recalled that his father, Dara Singh, had cautioned him before the marriage, saying that Farah Naaz was a Muslim and that the difference in religion could create difficulties in the future.
Vindu Dara Singh said he ignored his father's advice and went ahead with the marriage. However, the relationship later deteriorated, and the couple eventually separated.
He further stated that there were several reasons behind the breakdown of their marriage, including his claim that Farah Naaz had suddenly become more religious over time.
Responding to Vindu Dara Singh's remarks, Aditya Pancholi wrote, "I believe Hindu and Muslim marriages do work. Remember, marriage is between two people, not between religions."
Speaking about his personal life, Aditya Pancholi is married to Zarina Wahab. The couple met on the sets of the film Kalank Ka Tika, where their friendship began before developing into a relationship. They married in 1986 and have two children, daughter Sana and son Sooraj Pancholi. Sooraj Pancholi is also active in the film industry.
Aditya Pancholi began his acting career in 1985 with the Doordarshan television show Shahadat. He later appeared in several television serials, including Sone Ka Pinjra, Syahi, Afsar Ki Saali, and Mariam Ki Beti. He made his Bollywood debut in 1986 with the film Sasti Dulhan Mehenga Dulha. Over the years, he has featured in several Hindi films, including Yes Boss, Hameshaa, Baaghi, Aankhen, Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, Musafir, Race 2, Jai Ho, Hero, and Bajirao Mastani.
Aditya Pancholi's remarks have once again brought the discussion surrounding interfaith marriages into the spotlight, emphasizing his view that mutual consent and the choices of two adults should take precedence over religious differences in marriage.
