On May 10, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face Mumbai Indians, while on May 13 they will take on Kolkata Knight Riders. With these marquee clashes approaching, the stadium is undergoing extensive readiness work under the supervision of the Chhattisgarh Cricket Association.
Maintenance activities including ground upkeep, repainting, and enhancement of spectator facilities have already been initiated. Meanwhile, franchise officials have been continuously visiting Raipur to inspect arrangements and review operational readiness ahead of the matches.
Special emphasis is being placed on improving the spectator experience. Seating capacity in premium sections is being upgraded, with structural modifications underway to enhance comfort in both Gold and Platinum categories. On Friday, an external agency also conducted a detailed inspection of the stadium infrastructure as part of the final assessment process.
According to officials, there will be no major alterations to the pitch, as it is already considered suitable for competitive matches. Only routine maintenance work is being carried out to preserve its quality. The ground is also in a ready condition, supported by recent T20 and ODI matches held at the venue, reducing the need for significant modifications.
Ticketing and seating arrangements are also being actively streamlined. Work is progressing on finalizing ticket pricing and the online distribution platform, which is expected to be confirmed in the coming week. Early indications suggest that ticket prices may range between INR 2,500 and INR 3,500, with bookings likely to be made available through the official website.
With infrastructure upgrades, administrative coordination, and franchise involvement aligning simultaneously, Raipur is preparing to deliver a premium IPL experience, reinforcing its growing stature as a key cricketing destination in India.
