Casio India Expands Music Education Outreach with Launch of ‘Musical Bus’ at Gandhi Smriti, New Delhi
Casio India Co. Pvt. Ltd., in partnership with Manzil Mystics, has launched India’s first Musical Bus at Gandhi Smriti, New Delhi. The mobile music classroom and recording studio aims to expand inclusive music education for underserved communities, offering structured training, creative development, and skill-building opportunities for young musicians across schools and community spaces in Delhi and beyond.
Casio India Co. Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Casio Computer Co., Japan, has announced a significant milestone under its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility partnership with Manzil Mystics through its support for the comprehensive overhaul of the Musical Bus, India’s first mobile music classroom and recording studio. The initiative was formally unveiled recently at Gandhi Smriti in New Delhi, marking a major advancement in making structured music education more accessible and inclusive across communities.
Following the successful pilot of the Learning Through Music project in Patna, this new phase under the Delhi Project strengthens Casio India’s commitment to expanding access to music education. The Musical Bus serves as a pioneering mobile platform designed to connect children and young musicians with structured opportunities to learn, create, and perform, irrespective of geographical or socio-economic barriers.
The Musical Bus is an all-in-one mobile facility equipped with a professional-grade music classroom, a fully functional recording studio, and a performance space. The initiative aims to nurture creativity, enhance confidence, and provide practical exposure to music production and performance techniques. It is designed to travel across schools, colleges, and community spaces, thereby bringing structured musical learning directly to students and aspiring artists at the grassroots level.
Through this collaboration, Casio India and Manzil Mystics aim to empower underserved communities by enabling access to formalized music education. The program integrates Casio electronic keyboards into curriculum-based instrumental learning modules, strengthening practical skill development and creating pathways toward livelihood opportunities in the music and creative industries. The Delhi Project is currently supporting 50 young musicians through structured upskilling programs, with plans for further expansion in the near future.
The initiative places strong emphasis on structured training in both vocal and instrumental disciplines, including specialized instruction using Casio electronic keyboards. It is designed specifically for underprivileged students from government schools and young musicians from economically weaker backgrounds, ensuring access to high-quality music education and professional development opportunities.
The launch event at Gandhi Smriti was attended by Casio India representatives, Manzil Mystics officials, young musicians, and members of the community. Casio India also extended a formal welcome to Vijay Goel, former Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports and currently Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, who attended as Chief Guest. His presence highlighted the importance of inclusive cultural initiatives and reinforced the role of music as a powerful tool for education and social empowerment.
Speaking on the initiative, Akira Watanabe, Director of Casio India, stated that Casio has always believed in the transformative power of music as a universal language that fosters creativity and builds confidence. He emphasized that support for the Musical Bus reaffirms the company’s commitment to making music education accessible to all, while enabling young talent to explore sustainable opportunities within the creative ecosystem.
The event showcased the Musical Bus as a dynamic space for learning and performance, underlining its potential to serve as a transformative educational model. Casio India’s continued partnership with Manzil Mystics reflects a long-term commitment to building an inclusive ecosystem that promotes music education, nurtures emerging artists, and supports sustainable creative careers for youth from underserved communities.
