Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the Samrat Samprati Museum in Gandhinagar, highlighting Jain philosophy, India’s civilisational identity, and the role of right knowledge in fostering equality, service, and cultural heritage.

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday lauded the architecture and design of the Samrat Samprati Museum in Gandhinagar, stating that it beautifully captures India’s grandeur and civilisational identity while reflecting the depth of its cultural heritage.

Speaking at the inauguration at Koba Tirth, the Prime Minister underscored that the museum’s seven galleries collectively showcase the country’s rich cultural diversity and heritage. He noted that the first gallery introduces visitors to the Navpad (Nine Jewels), a concept central to Jain philosophy, including Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyay, and Sadhu Sangh. These are intrinsically linked to the foundational principles of right faith, right knowledge, right conduct, and right austerity.

“These teachings inspire people to live disciplined and righteous lives. When knowledge is right, it becomes the foundation for equality and service,” Modi said, emphasising the enduring relevance of these values in contemporary society.
