According to the Belarusian ministry’s press service, Defence Minister Viktar Khrenin and India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held discussions marked by a friendly and constructive tone, reflecting strong diplomatic engagement between the two nations. Both sides acknowledged similarities in their assessment of global developments and reviewed the interim outcomes of their joint efforts for 2026.
During the meeting, the ministers emphasized the importance of achieving tangible results from ongoing cooperation. They also proposed measures aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of bilateral collaboration in the military sphere, signaling a forward-looking approach to defence relations.
Rajnath Singh noted that ten Belarusian servicemen underwent training in India in the previous year. He further stated that India is prepared to allocate additional training quotas for Belarusian personnel in the coming year, underscoring India’s commitment to capacity-building initiatives.
In response, Viktar Khrenin praised the high standards of training provided in India, highlighting the comprehensive educational processes across a wide range of military specialties.
