UPITS 2025 Day 4: Focus on skill development, khadi, and youth entrepreneurship

Greater Noida: The fourth day of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) was dedicated to employment generation, skill development, and the promotion of Swadeshi textiles. A total of 1,34,938 visitors attended, including 36,307 B2B and 98,631 B2C visitors. With this, the fair has so far witnessed a total of 4,00,467 participants in the first four days. The day-long seminars, panel discussions, award ceremonies, and cultural performances turned the platform into a blend of innovation and tradition.

The day began with an address by Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan. He said, “Khadi is not just cloth, it is the pride of our nation and a symbol of self-reliance. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister, UP is redefining Khadi as a sustainable and fashionable fabric.” He described ODOP and MSME policies as a support system for artisans and entrepreneurs.

Gautam Buddha University organized a panel discussion on “Industry-Academia Partnership for Skill Development.” Education experts and industry leaders emphasized aligning curriculum with changing market needs and encouraging internships and vocational training.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) gave information about the newly launched Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM VBRY). Under this scheme, employers will receive recruitment subsidies and first-time employees will be offered incentives. The scheme focuses particularly on the manufacturing sector.

At the grand award ceremony in the evening, Cabinet Ministers Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ and Rakesh Sachan were present. Entrepreneurs, exporters, and innovators who contributed to Uttar Pradesh’s industrial growth and global recognition were honored.

The CM Youth Conclave was a special highlight of the fourth day. A total of 113 stalls were set up, including 49 choice brands, 64 machinery suppliers, and 26 'Business on Wheels' initiatives. So far, more than 8,300 business enquiries and over 7,500 registrations have been recorded. The event showed that the youth of UP are now playing a leading role in entrepreneurship, skill, and innovation.

After business activities, the India Expo Center transformed into a cultural stage. Audiences enjoyed the Mayur dance of Braj and Bundelkhand folk dance. The evening’s main attraction was Sufi and light classical renditions by singer Pratibha Singh Baghel, which beautifully brought alive the depth of Awadh and Purvanchal’s traditions.

After four days of successful activities and engagements, UPITS 2025 is preparing for its final day and the much-awaited closing ceremony, where several important announcements are expected.

Global partnerships continue on the fourth day, focus remains on ODOP and GI products

On the fourth day of the UP International Trade Show, the series of B2B meetings between buyers and sellers continued. Participants not only discussed business but also explored new collaborations and opportunities in multiple sectors.

Products from textiles, handicrafts, garments, leather, food processing, pharma, electronics, and defense sectors attracted international buyers. This time, special focus was laid on ODOP and GI products, highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s unique strengths on the global stage. New business opportunities and collaborations are further driving the success of this trade show.
