Speeding Dumper Kills 26-Year-Old Man in Mhalunge-Balewadi Road Crash
A 26-year-old man, Shrihari V. Anand, was killed after a speeding dumper collided with his two-wheeler on Balewadi-Nanded Road. CCTV footage may help police trace the unidentified driver who fled the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Shrihari V. Anand. He was travelling with a friend on the Balewadi-Nanded Road when the accident occurred at around 11.30 pm.
According to the information available, the dumper was travelling at high speed when it struck the two-wheeler. The impact left Anand critically injured, while his friend suffered minor injuries.
Anand was rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
The collision was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the area, which could assist the police in identifying the vehicle and its driver. The dumper driver allegedly fled the spot immediately after the accident.
Police have registered a case against an unidentified dumper driver at Bavdhan police station and have launched a search to trace the accused.
The latest incident has highlighted the need for stricter monitoring of heavy vehicles, effective enforcement of speed limits and tighter adherence to traffic regulations to prevent similar fatal crashes.
