CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Diagnosed With Typhoid, Vows Illness Will Not Slow Protest Demanding Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation

Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke has been diagnosed with typhoid but said his illness will not slow the movement demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. The CJP protest continues at Jantar Mantar over alleged examination irregularities, accountability, reforms, and justice for affected students.

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday revealed that he had been diagnosed with typhoid but asserted that his health condition would not weaken the movement demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In a video message shared on social media, Dipke said he had been unwell for the past few days and was currently undergoing medical treatment. Despite his illness, he thanked CJP supporters for continuing peaceful protests across the country and expressed confidence that the movement would achieve its objective.

"As you know, I have been unwell for the last few days. The reports are out and I have been diagnosed with typhoid," Dipke said.

He stated that his treatment was underway and that he was receiving intravenous medication regularly.

"The treatment is going on. I am getting IV drips every day. But I want to thank all the supporters who are protesting peacefully across the country," he said.

Dipke congratulated supporters for expanding the movement and said sustained peaceful demonstrations would help achieve their primary demand of securing Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.

"Congratulations to all of you for making this movement such a big success. I am very sure that if we continue protesting like this, we will get Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation," he said.

The CJP-led protest was launched over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations. The movement has been demanding accountability in the examination system, reforms in recruitment and entrance tests, and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The agitation received support from several public figures, including activist Sonam Wangchuk, who joined the protest on June 28 and observed a 26-day hunger strike.

Wangchuk ended his fast earlier this week after the Centre provided written assurances that no cases would be registered against peaceful protesters, Parliament would discuss examination reforms and accountability, and compensation for families of students who died by suicide following the alleged NEET paper leak would be positively considered.

Despite Wangchuk ending his hunger strike, the CJP has maintained that its protest at Jantar Mantar will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan steps down from his position.

The ongoing agitation continues to draw attention to demands for examination system reforms, accountability, and action over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, with CJP supporters maintaining pressure for political responsibility and institutional changes.
