VinFast Signs LOIs With 50+ Dealers to Expand E-Motorcycle Network Across India

VinFast signs LOIs with more than 50 dealer partners to establish e-motorcycle showrooms across 34 Indian cities in 15 states and territories, as the Vietnamese EV maker prepares to expand its distribution network and charging support.

VinFast has signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) with more than 50 e-motorcycle dealer partners across 15 states and territories in India, marking a significant step in the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer’s plans to expand its distribution network and strengthen its presence in one of the world’s largest two-wheeler markets.

Under the agreements, VinFast and its dealer partners will work together to establish more than 50 e-motorcycle showrooms across 34 cities in 15 states and territories, bringing the company’s electric two-wheeler offerings closer to consumers across the country.

The signing ceremony took place at VinFast’s Manufacturing Complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, during a visit and working programme involving the Indian dealer partners.

The planned showroom network will cover Delhi NCR, Rajasthan and Punjab in North India; Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh in Central India; Maharashtra and Gujarat in the West; Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh in the South; and West Bengal and Odisha in the East.

These regions have large two-wheeler markets and considerable scope for the electrification of mobility. VinFast’s expansion into these locations is intended to improve consumer access to modern, economical and sustainable mobility solutions.

Before travelling to Vietnam, the dealer partners had recognised VinFast’s brand reputation and diverse product portfolio. Their visit provided an opportunity to observe the company’s manufacturing scale and production standards firsthand at its factory and experience the strong presence of VinFast e-motorcycles in Vietnam. Following the visit, the partners expressed greater determination to accelerate the expansion of the company’s distribution network in India.

Vo Thi Cam Tu, Managing Director of VinFast E-Scooters Overseas Market, said India was one of the most important markets in the company’s global growth strategy. She said the partnership reflected VinFast’s ambitions for the region, highlighting India’s market scale, growing demand for electric mobility and potential to redefine mobility.

“This LOI signing demonstrates our long-term commitment to India, as well as our expectations and confidence in the vast scale and potential of the market,” she said.

Anurag Saxena, CEO of VinFast India E-Scooters, described the agreements with more than 50 dealer partners across 15 states and territories and 34 cities as the beginning of the company’s nationwide e-motorcycle expansion.

“Alongside, we are also building charging infrastructure and strengthening after-sales services to ensure that customers across these locations receive the support they need throughout their ownership journey,” he said.

VinFast entered India’s green mobility market in 2025, with activities spanning the distribution, manufacturing and assembly of electric cars. The latest LOIs mark a new phase in the company’s expansion in India and establish the foundation for its first dedicated distribution network for e-motorcycle products in the country.

India’s large population and substantial mobility demand make it the world’s largest two-wheeler market. According to the figures cited by VinFast, 21.41 million two-wheelers were registered in fiscal year 2025-2026, with electric vehicles accounting for only 6.54% of the total.

The comparatively low share of electric vehicles highlights the potential for further electrification of India’s two-wheeler market. By establishing showrooms across 34 cities and expanding charging infrastructure and after-sales support, VinFast aims to strengthen its presence and pursue opportunities in the country’s evolving electric mobility sector.

VinFast, listed on NASDAQ under the ticker VFS, is a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, one of Vietnam’s largest conglomerates. The company is a pure-play electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer with a mission to make EVs accessible to everyone. Its current product lineup includes electric SUVs, e-scooters and e-buses.

The company is entering its next phase of growth through the rapid expansion of its global distribution and dealership network and an increase in manufacturing capacity, with a focus on key markets across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
