fischer Supplies Steel and Chemical Products for Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Tower
fischer is supplying steel and chemical products for Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Tower, a landmark project expected to exceed one kilometre in height and become the world’s tallest building upon completion in 2028.
Scheduled to be completed in 2028, Jeddah Tower represents a major construction undertaking in a city that has transformed from a modest port into a vibrant metropolis over the past five decades. Jeddah brings together tradition and technology, historic trade routes and modern business, positioning the tower as a defining landmark in a region undergoing significant transformation.
The project, which is expected to cost more than one and a half billion euros, is being developed close to the Red Sea. Once completed, the tower will exceed existing human-made structures in height, establishing a new benchmark in skyscraper construction.
The fischer Group of Companies, based in Germany’s northern Black Forest region, is contributing steel and chemical products to the project. Its specialists are also present on site and will continue working alongside the teams involved in construction until the project is successfully completed. The company’s fastening solutions are intended to provide the strength, reliability and precision required for a structure of this scale.
Osama Farhat, General Manager Sales KSA at fischer, said the company’s selection for Jeddah Tower reflected its engineering capabilities and commitment to the region. He said the company’s chemical and steel anchors had been selected not only for their load-bearing capacity but also for their proven reliability under extreme conditions.
“Being selected for the Jeddah Tower is a testament to our engineering excellence and our commitment to the region. Our chemical and steel anchors were chosen not just for their load-bearing capacity, but for their proven reliability in extreme conditions. We provide the safety and precision that a project of this height demands, ensuring that our solutions meet the rigorous standards required for the world's tallest building,” Farhat said.
Jeddah Tower adds to a portfolio of record-breaking structures and prominent landmarks featuring fischer solutions. These include Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest observation wheel; the Burj Khalifa, which stands at 828 metres and is currently the tallest skyscraper in the world; and the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum, known for its distinctive architecture, along with other landmarks across the region.
Mayank Kalra, Managing Director, fischer India, said the project demonstrated the confidence placed in the company’s solutions for demanding construction projects worldwide. He also highlighted its significance for the company’s operations and commitment to customers in India.
“Jeddah Tower is a landmark achievement that reflects the trust placed in fischer solutions for the world’s most demanding construction projects. Being part of the world’s tallest building is a proud moment for the fischer Group and reinforces our commitment to delivering global engineering excellence and proven reliability to customers in India,” Kalra said.
Through its supply of steel and chemical products and the involvement of its on-site experts, fischer is contributing to the construction of a tower expected to redefine the global skyscraper height record upon completion in 2028.
