The launch-day rush marks the beginning of sales for the iPhone 18 Pro series in India, with customers gathering at Apple stores to purchase the new devices. The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900 for the 256GB storage variant.

Both models are available in four colour options: Burgundy Red, Glacier, Silver and Black. The Burgundy Red finish is expected to attract considerable attention, following the popularity of the Cosmic Orange colour option on last year’s iPhone 17 Pro models.

The biggest hardware upgrade on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max is Apple’s new A20 Pro chipset. Both smartphones also feature an upgraded and smaller Dynamic Island, with Apple adding further functionality to the system.

The iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max comes with a 6.9-inch screen. The display sizes remain the same as those offered on the previous-generation iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Apple has also highlighted new Siri capabilities and Apple Intelligence features on the latest Pro models. The company says the iPhone 18 Pro can deliver up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge, while the source text does not provide the corresponding battery-life figure for the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

On the camera front, both smartphones feature a triple rear-camera system. The setup includes a 48-megapixel Fusion primary camera with variable aperture, a 48-megapixel telephoto camera and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

With the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max now available in India, the launch-day crowds at Apple stores mark the first major opportunity for customers to purchase the company’s latest flagship Pro smartphones in the country.
