Bisleri Showcases Plastic Recycling and Circular Economy Efforts at WCEF 2026
Bisleri International showcased its Bottles for Change initiative at WCEF 2026 in India, bringing together global delegates and government officials to discuss plastic waste collection, recycling, source segregation and circular economy solutions.
The forum was inaugurated by Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon’ble Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, and Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat. Government officials, policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, innovators and sustainability practitioners from across the world attended the event.
Through its Bottles for Change stall, Bisleri highlighted how used plastic can be managed responsibly and transformed into valuable resources. The initiative focused on promoting plastic waste collection, recycling, resource reuse and practices that support a circular economy.
The stall received visits from Shri Arjunbhai Modhwadia, Hon'ble Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Government of Gujarat, and Shri Pravinbhai Mali, Hon'ble Minister of State for Forests and Environment, Climate Change, Government of Gujarat. International delegates also visited the stall, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change, Central Pollution Control Board and Gujarat Pollution Control Board, as well as senior officials from State Pollution Control Boards across Maharashtra, Odisha, Kerala, J&K and Chhattisgarh.
During these interactions, Bisleri presented its sustainability and responsible waste management initiatives. Discussions centred on improving plastic waste collection, encouraging recycling and ensuring the efficient reuse of resources to help create a cleaner and more sustainable environment. The showcase also underscored the importance of source segregation and collective participation in strengthening the circular economy for plastics.
