Parents often scold children because they want them to study and build a better future. However, in some cases, children can react strongly to such reprimands. In this case, the 9-year-old boy became upset after his mother scolded him and left home. The child reportedly told his mother that he was going to his father before leaving.
The boy somehow reached a railway station and changed two to three trains before boarding a train bound for Mumbai. When the Class 3 student did not return home, his parents became worried. The family initially searched for him in nearby areas and also went to his school to find out about his whereabouts. When the child could not be located, the family approached the police with his photograph and registered a missing-person report.
Following the complaint, both the police and the Child Protection Department began efforts to trace the boy. Police circulated the child's photograph while searching for him. During the search, the police received information that a boy of around 9 years of age, matching the description, had been seen at Kalyan railway station in Mumbai.
With the assistance of the Child Protection Department, the police recovered the child from Kalyan railway station. With the help of the Child Protection Commission, the boy was brought back to Surajpur. According to the family, the child had been missing since September 15 and was brought back to Surajpur today.
Surajpur SDOP Abhishek Paikra said that the child's mother had scolded him for studying, following which he became upset and left home. He said the child changed several trains before reaching Mumbai and was subsequently recovered from Kalyan railway station with the assistance of the Child Protection Department. The police team has since returned safely to Surajpur with the child.
The recovery brought an end to the family's search for the 9-year-old, who had travelled from Surajpur to Mumbai after leaving home following a reprimand over his studies.
