According to the Railways, Train No. 14153 Kanpur Central-Anand Vihar (T) Mail will depart from Kanpur Central at 8:40 pm and arrive at Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 am the following day.
In the return direction, Train No. 14154 Anand Vihar (T)-Kanpur Central Mail will depart from Anand Vihar at 11:25 pm and reach Kanpur Central at 7:25 am.
The new train will cover a distance of around 428 kilometres in both directions. The journey from Kanpur Central to Anand Vihar will take approximately 8 hours and 10 minutes, while the return journey will be completed in around 8 hours.
The train will have commercial halts at several important stations along the route, including Fafund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad.
According to the Railways, the new daily Mail service will strengthen rail connectivity between Kanpur and the National Capital Region (NCR). As the train will operate during the night, passengers will have an option to save daytime travel hours and reach Delhi-NCR in the morning. Passengers travelling from major cities and stations located along the route are also expected to benefit from the service.
Alongside the new train service, Indian Railways has also approved the construction of a four-lane Road Over Bridge (ROB) near Alkapuri in the Vadodara Division of Western Railway. The project has an estimated total cost of Rs 166.5 crore and will be implemented on a cost-sharing basis with the State Government.
The Railways and the State Government will contribute approximately equal amounts towards the project. According to the Railways, its share will be around Rs 83.2769 crore, with the State Government contributing approximately the same amount.
The construction of the four-lane ROB is expected to help improve the operation of road and rail traffic in the area, adding another major infrastructure development alongside the new Kanpur-Anand Vihar daily Mail service.
