Sony India has launched the BRAVIA 7II True RGB LED TV series, featuring advanced colour control, Dolby Vision, immersive audio and gaming upgrades. Discover screen sizes, India prices, pre-booking details and the features behind its latest home entertainment range.

Sony India has launched the BRAVIA 7II television series, introducing its True RGB technology to the Indian market with a focus on colour accuracy, contrast, brightness and immersive home entertainment. Pre-booking for select models begins today, while the televisions are scheduled to become available across India from May 28, 2026.

The new series combines Sony’s advanced display technologies with intelligent picture and sound processing to deliver cinema-grade viewing experiences at home. The BRAVIA 7II range starts with a 55-inch (140 cm) model and extends to 65-inch (165 cm), 75-inch (190 cm) and 85-inch (215 cm) variants. A 98-inch (248 cm) model is expected in June, expanding the company’s “Cinema is Coming Home” proposition to more consumers across India.

At the centre of the BRAVIA 7II is True RGB technology, powered by Sony’s proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro. The system independently controls red, green and blue light to improve colour precision, contrast and realism. Combined with the Cognitive Processor XR, it processes picture and sound characteristics to create visuals with enhanced depth, vibrant colours and lifelike detail.

The television incorporates RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro for individual RGB backlight control and precise local dimming, helping produce deeper blacks, reduce blooming and improve contrast. RGB Triluminos Max with Luminance Booster combines QD-OLED-level colour richness with Mini LED brightness, delivering Sony’s widest colour volume and brighter highlights. Smooth Color Gradation provides finer tonal transitions across dark and bright scenes, while X-Wide Angle Pro maintains colour and contrast from wider viewing positions. The latter feature is available in select screen sizes.

The BRAVIA 7II marks Sony’s introduction of its first True RGB LED BRAVIA TV technology. Using independently driven red, green and blue LEDs, the television is designed to reproduce colours accurately in bright living room environments. Its RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro system controls the LEDs with high precision to improve brightness, reduce blooming, produce deeper blacks and deliver purer colours than conventional Mini LED displays.

With RGB Triluminos Max, the television reproduces a broader spectrum of colours with accuracy, while Smooth Colour Gradation enables seamless transitions between tones. The RGB Triluminos Max system with Luminance Booster combines QD-OLED-like colour depth with Mini LED brightness to deliver what Sony describes as its richest and most vibrant visual experience yet. On models measuring 65 inches and above, X-Wide Angle Pro is designed to maintain consistent colour and contrast across wider viewing angles, helping viewers experience similar picture quality from different seating positions.

The Cognitive Processor XR powers the television’s picture processing, analysing images in a way that reflects how humans naturally perceive sight and sound. It enhances depth, contrast and clarity in real time to produce more natural and immersive visuals.

XR Contrast Booster (20) balances light and dark elements to improve realism. XR Clear Image reduces noise and upscales lower-resolution content to near-4K quality, while XR Motion Clarity analyses movement across multiple frames to keep fast-moving scenes, including sports, movies and gameplay, smooth, bright and blur-free.

The BRAVIA 7II supports Dolby Vision®, HDR10, HLG and IMAX® Enhanced for cinematic high-dynamic-range viewing, with richer colours, deeper contrast, enhanced brightness and picture quality intended to reflect creators’ original vision. Studio Calibrated Modes for Netflix, Prime Video and Sony Pictures Core automatically optimise picture settings for different content environments.

Sony has also incorporated audio technologies designed to complement the television’s visual performance. Acoustic Multi-Audio+ is available on models measuring 65 inches and above, positioning sound in line with on-screen action. Sound Positioning Tweeters further enhance bass performance without compromising the television’s slim design.

Voice Zoom 3, featuring AI Sound Separation technology, helps keep dialogue clear above background sounds. The 3D Surround Upscaling system converts standard audio into a virtual 5.1.4-channel surround experience. Support for Dolby Atmos® and DTS® adds multidimensional, theatre-like sound with overhead effects intended to bring greater depth to movies and other content.

For gaming, the BRAVIA 7II supports 4K at 120 frames per second through HDMI 2.1. Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) are designed to reduce input lag and eliminate screen tearing, providing smoother and more responsive gameplay.

Game Menu 2 gives users quick access to customisable settings, including crosshair, black equaliser and motion blur reduction. Dolby Vision® Gaming enhances visual fidelity through richer colours and contrast. The television also supports PS Remote Play and offers dedicated PlayStation 5 optimisations, including Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode, positioning the series as an option for console gaming enthusiasts.

The television runs Google TV, providing access to more than 400,000 movies and TV shows, along with thousands of apps and games. Hands-Free Voice Search and built-in Google Assistant allow users to control the television, search for content and manage compatible smart home devices using voice commands.

Connectivity features include Apple AirPlay 2, Apple HomeKit and Google Cast, while the television also works with Alexa-enabled devices. Gemini for Google TV is scheduled to arrive through an over-the-air update, introducing more natural AI-powered interactions and smarter content recommendations.

Through Sony Pictures Core, BRAVIA 7II users can access a curated library of blockbuster movies, including IMAX® Enhanced titles. The Pure Stream technology supports streaming at up to 80 Mbps, delivering picture quality comparable to 4K UHD Blu-ray. Customers will also receive 10 exclusive movie credits, providing access to a curated selection of premium Sony Pictures titles for 24 months.

The design follows Sony’s Harmonic Presence concept, with an Immersive Frame and Mirage Stand on the 55-inch to 85-inch models. The 98-inch variant will feature a premium T-Shape Stand, allowing the television to integrate into modern living spaces.

Durability features include X-Protection PRO, which offers protection against lightning, power surges, dust and humidity. Eco Dashboard 2 enables users to monitor energy consumption and access power-saving recommendations, while the RGB LED control system powered by RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro is designed to improve power efficiency.

Sony has also introduced an Inclusive Affordable Remote developed in collaboration with people with disabilities. It features an optimised button layout, tactile differentiation and clear spacing to make operation easier.

The BRAVIA 7II will be available across Sony retail stores, including Sony Center and Sony Exclusive outlets, through the www.ShopatSC.com portal, at leading electronic outlets and on major e-commerce platforms in India from May 28, 2026.

The 55-inch BRAVIA 7II carries a maximum retail price (MRP) of ₹3,59,900, with a Best Buy price of ₹2,21,990. The 65-inch model is priced at an MRP of ₹4,39,900, with a Best Buy price of ₹2,74,990.
