Woman Throws Blue Ink at Activist During NEET-UG 2026 Protest in Delhi
A woman threw blue ink at Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke during a NEET-UG 2026 protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. The incident occurred amid demands for action over alleged paper leak irregularities, Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike, and planned Parliament march.
The incident occurred as protesters continued their campaign demanding accountability over the examination controversy. The protest followed climate activist Sonam Wangchuk being transferred to a hospital on the 21st day of his hunger strike.
The protesters have been demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over allegations of a paper leak that led to the cancellation of the May 3 examination. During the protest, the woman approached Dipke and threw blue ink at him while he was speaking to the gathering.
Police detained the woman following the incident. Her identity and the motive behind the action have not been verified. The authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following the attack, Abhijeet Dipke stated that the protest movement would be intensified, including demands for the resignation of Prime Minister Modi. Despite the disruption, protesters continued their demonstration and announced plans to march towards Parliament on July 20.
The ink attack added further tension to the ongoing NEET-UG 2026 protest, which has remained focused on allegations of examination irregularities, demands for government accountability, and calls for action from authorities.
