Fadnavis Launches Digital Governance Platform and Expands Farmer Relief Measures Across Maharashtra

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched MahaIT Data Analytics as a Service and inaugurated 22 Mini Setu Centres in Gadchiroli to strengthen digital governance and public services. The initiatives accompany ₹48,000 crore in electricity debt relief and nearly ₹95,000 crore in subsidies for farmers, reinforcing the state's commitment to efficient governance and rural welfare.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has launched a series of major digital governance and rural welfare initiatives aimed at strengthening public service delivery, improving administrative efficiency, and providing substantial financial relief to farmers. The latest measures reflect the state's continued focus on technology-driven governance alongside large-scale support for the agricultural sector.

On July 17, Fadnavis inaugurated MahaIT Data Analytics as a Service, a digital platform designed to integrate data from multiple state government departments. The initiative is intended to enable smarter policymaking through comprehensive data analysis while improving the efficiency and quality of public services delivered across Maharashtra.

On the same day, the Chief Minister also inaugurated 22 Mini Setu Centres in Gadchiroli, a district once affected by Naxal insurgency. The new centres have been established to bring online government services directly to citizens, making essential government assistance more accessible at the local level and reducing the need for residents to travel for administrative services.

The digital governance initiatives complement the Maharashtra government's ongoing financial support for the farming community. The state has waived electricity dues amounting to ₹48,000 crore for farmers, providing significant financial relief to the agricultural sector. In addition, subsidies totaling nearly ₹95,000 crore are being extended during the current year, reinforcing the government's commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods and supporting agricultural growth.
