UP BJP Unveils New State Leadership Team Ahead of 2027 Assembly Elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a major organizational restructuring in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. The new team includes State Vice Presidents, General Secretaries, Regional Presidents, and heads of various party wings, reflecting a strategy focused on social balance, regional representation, and electoral preparedness.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh has announced a major organizational reshuffle ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, unveiling a new list of state office-bearers as part of its strategy to strengthen the party structure and prepare for the crucial electoral battle.

The newly released list includes appointments to several key positions, comprising 19 State Vice Presidents, eight State General Secretaries, 19 State Secretaries, and other important organizational roles. The announcement was made by State President Pankaj Chaudhary.

Among the prominent appointments, Neeraj Singh, son of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has been named a State Vice President. Neeraj Singh is the younger son of Rajnath Singh, while his elder son, Pankaj Singh, serves as a legislator. Pooja Pal, who joined the BJP from the Samajwadi Party, has also been entrusted with the significant responsibility of State Vice President. Rohit Mishra has been appointed as the new State President of the Youth Wing, while Priyanka Rawat, who previously served as a State General Secretary, has been elevated to the position of State Vice President.

The party stated that the new organizational structure reflects an effort to maintain social and regional balance while assigning key responsibilities to new faces with the upcoming Assembly elections in mind. The list of State Vice Presidents includes Satyapal Saini, Dharmendra Singh, Priyanka Rawat, Archana Mishra, Pooja Pal, Rajesh Yadav, Alok Gupta, and several other leaders.

The BJP has also announced Regional Presidents for six organizational zones across the state. Nawab Singh Nagar has been appointed Regional President for the Western Region, Puran Lal Lodhi for the Braj Region, Ram Kishore Sahu for the Kanpur Region, Avadhesh Dwivedi for the Awadh Region, Ashok Chaurasia for the Kashi Region, and Vinod Rai for the Gorakhpur Region.

For key organizational responsibilities, Rampratap Singh Chauhan, Geeta Shakya, Abhijat Mishra, Upendra Rawat, and Sanjay Rai have been appointed as State General Secretaries. The list of State Secretaries includes Vijay Shivhare, Basant Tyagi, Shivbhushan Singh, Sahajanand Rai, Anil Yadav, Avadhesh Srivastava, Vijay Rajbhar, Rakesh Bind, Rahul Valmiki, Akanksha Sonkar, and several other leaders.

The party has also assigned important communication and media-related responsibilities. Dinesh Pratap Singh has been appointed Chief Spokesperson, Manish Dixit has been named State Media Coordinator, and Himanshuraj Pandit has been appointed State Social Media Coordinator.

In addition, the BJP announced the heads of its various affiliated wings. Rohit Mishra has been appointed State President of the Youth Wing, Prakash Pal will lead the Backward Classes Wing, Devendra Singh has been assigned charge of the Farmers’ Wing, Ashok Rawat will head the Scheduled Castes Wing, Saroj Kushwaha has been appointed President of the Women’s Wing, and Vidyabhushan Gond will lead the Scheduled Tribes Wing.

The extensive organizational overhaul underscores the BJP’s preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. By balancing regional representation, social outreach, and leadership renewal, the party aims to strengthen its grassroots network and reinforce its electoral strategy across the state.
