Essentia Home Launches First Standalone Experience Centre in Mumbai’s Lower Parel

Essentia Home has launched its first standalone experience centre in Mumbai’s Lower Parel at Matulya Centre, spanning 10,000 sq ft. The design destination showcases global brands, bespoke interiors, and Essentia Group’s integrated expertise, redefining luxury retail for architects, designers, developers, and homeowners in India’s design capital.

Essentia Home, the retail and design products division of Essentia Group, has inaugurated its first standalone experience centre in Mumbai. Located at Matulya Centre in Lower Parel, the 10,000-square-foot space represents the brand’s most significant retail milestone since its flagship store in Gurugram, offering a curated selection of furniture, lighting, décor, and bespoke interior solutions in one of India’s most design-forward cities.

The Mumbai outlet is not positioned as a conventional showroom. Instead, it has been designed as a destination experience where architects, interior designers, developers, and homeowners can engage with the complete vision of Essentia Home. The space presents a carefully curated mix of leading global design brands alongside Essentia Home’s own furniture and furnishing range, manufactured in India to international standards.

The experience centre features an extensive portfolio of global names, including Nolte Küchen, Melogranoblu, Hind Rabi, Tom Dixon, Alessi, Culti, Paola Paronetto, Vanessa Mitrani, and Ichendorf. According to the company, additional brand partnerships are already under discussion and will be announced in the coming months. Every product included in the store has been selected based on a strict design philosophy focused on uniqueness and functional distinction, ensuring each offering delivers something exceptional.

Speaking on the Mumbai launch, Hridik Chawla stated, “Mumbai has always had a distinct design sensibility. People here know what they want and they want it without compromise. When we designed this space we were not thinking about filling a floor with products. We were thinking about how someone walks in, what they feel the moment they do, and what they leave wanting to do with their own home. That is the only brief that mattered.”

The decision to establish a standalone facility in Lower Parel reflects Essentia Home’s long-term commitment to the Mumbai market. Lower Parel has evolved into a central hub for design, architecture, and premium retail, and the standalone format enables the centre to operate as a full-scale experiential destination rather than a traditional retail outlet.

With more than 1,000 completed projects across ultra-high-net-worth residential developments, developer fit-outs, and corporate campuses, along with a 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Gurugram, the group combines design presentation with end-to-end execution capability.
