Panic at Bhagalpur Railway Halt After Kidnapping Prank Video Goes Viral, Railway Authorities Launch Investigation
A viral prank video from Ammapali Halt railway station in Bihar’s Bhagalpur sparked panic after youths staged a fake kidnapping attempt on a crowded platform. Passengers fled in fear as railway authorities launched an investigation under complaint number ER-557, while social media users demanded strict action against those involved.
According to the viral clip circulating online, a young man can be seen running behind women on the railway platform while holding a handkerchief. During the video, a voice is heard saying, “Take out the spray quickly,” indicating that the act was designed to resemble a kidnapping attempt. The prank reportedly aimed to create a dramatic and entertaining video, but instead spread fear and chaos among passengers present at the station.
The footage shows women, children and other passengers rushing away from the platform area in panic after witnessing the staged act. The atmosphere quickly turned tense as people feared a possible criminal incident unfolding in front of them at the public railway halt.
Later in the same video, the youth is seen casually approaching women seated on the platform and asking when the train to Bengal would arrive. However, the earlier sequence had already caused alarm among passengers and sparked widespread criticism online.
At the end of the post, the social media handle that shared the video tagged DRM Malda, Eastern Railway and Railway Seva, demanding strict action against those responsible. The post urged railway authorities to identify the accused and ensure that such incidents are prevented in the future through stringent measures.
