Bharat 6G 2026 Highlights India’s Ambition to Lead the Global Next-Generation Connectivity Revolution
Bharat 6G 2026 brought together policymakers, telecom operators, technology companies, startups, and industry experts to discuss India’s roadmap for next-generation connectivity. The conference highlighted innovation, sustainability, artificial intelligence-driven networks, and India’s ambition to become a global leader in 6G technology by 2030.
Bharat Exhibitions hosted the fourth edition of Bharat 6G 2026, a major industry conference and exhibition that brought together key stakeholders from the telecommunications, technology, and policy sectors to shape the future of next-generation connectivity in India. The one-day event convened policymakers, telecom operators, global technology providers, academic institutions, and startups to discuss the roadmap, innovation strategies, and collaborative frameworks required to establish India as a global leader in 6G development.
The conference featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, and industry presentations focused on emerging technologies, future use cases, and the transformative role of 6G across sectors including smart cities, healthcare, manufacturing, and digital infrastructure. Among the prominent participants were Jitendra Singh from Qualcomm, Brigadier Anil Tandan from Broadband India Forum, Rahul Vatts from Bharti Airtel, A. Robert J. Ravi from BSNL, AK Tiwari from Reliance Jio, Abhinav Puri from 6D Technologies, and Shashi Dharan from Bharat Exhibitions.
Speaking during the event, Shashi Dharan, Managing Director of Bharat Exhibitions, said Bharat 6G 2026 serves as a strategic platform that brings together industry leaders and innovators to collectively define the next phase of connectivity. He stated that India has a unique opportunity to play a leading role in the global 6G landscape and that the conference would help advance that vision.
The conference began with a plenary session examining how 6G research, standards, and policy frameworks are evolving in alignment with the circular economy. The plenary session was moderated by Debashish Chakraborty and included industry leaders such as R.K. Pathak, Bharat Bhatia, Dinesh Chand Sharma, Dr. Sandip Chatterjee, Jitendra Singh, and Dr. Sonali Garg, representing key organizations connected to the 6G and standards ecosystem.

Guest of Honour A. Robert J. Ravi, Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL, stated that 6G would play a transformative role in expanding connectivity, bridging digital divides, and enabling inclusive growth across India. He said India is not merely preparing for 6G but is actively shaping its global direction, adding that the nation’s 6G vision reflects its ambition to lead the next digital revolution worldwide.
AK Tiwari, President of Regulatory Affairs at Reliance Jio, said India’s 6G vision is centered on innovation, sustainability, and leadership in global standardization, positioning the country at the forefront of the next telecommunications revolution. Rahul Vatts, Chief Regulatory Officer for India and South Asia at Bharti Airtel, stated that the transition to 6G is fundamentally about innovation, collaboration, and delivering future-ready digital experiences on a large scale.
Gulshan Khurana, Executive Vice President of Technology at Vodafone Idea, said India has the opportunity to lead the global 6G landscape through innovation, collaboration, and strong policy alignment. He added that the future of networks lies in intelligence, sustainability, and seamless connectivity, and that 6G will integrate all these elements together.
Brigadier Anil Tandan, Director General of Broadband India Forum, and Abhinav Puri, Director at 6D Technologies, also addressed the gathering as keynote speakers. They reiterated the importance of India’s Bharat 6G Vision, which aims to establish the country as a global leader in 6G by 2030 through indigenous innovation, affordability, sustainability, and universal connectivity.
