Fire Breaks Out in District Hospital Campus Bio-Waste Disposal Room, Sparks Panic as ICU Ward Remains Operational
A fire erupted in the bio-waste disposal room of a district hospital campus, causing panic as the ICU medical ward remained operational. Staff and patients were evacuated as municipal fire services and police rushed to the scene. Kotwali Police Station Officer Nobel Saini also arrived. Firefighting operations are ongoing to bring the situation under control.
Upon detection of the fire, hospital staff were thrown into confusion, and patients from multiple wards evacuated themselves and moved outside the hospital premises for safety. The sudden escalation created disorder across several sections of the medical facility.
Following the emergency alert, the municipal council fire brigade, along with its personnel, arrived at the scene to initiate firefighting operations and contain the blaze. Their immediate response was directed toward preventing the fire from spreading further within the hospital infrastructure.
