Fire Breaks Out in District Hospital Campus Bio-Waste Disposal Room, Sparks Panic as ICU Ward Remains Operational

Upon detection of the fire, hospital staff were thrown into confusion, and patients from multiple wards evacuated themselves and moved outside the hospital premises for safety. The sudden escalation created disorder across several sections of the medical facility.

Following the emergency alert, the municipal council fire brigade, along with its personnel, arrived at the scene to initiate firefighting operations and contain the blaze. Their immediate response was directed toward preventing the fire from spreading further within the hospital infrastructure.

Kotwali Police Station Officer Nobel Saini also reached the location with a police contingent to manage the situation and support emergency operations. Law enforcement presence was deployed to assist in maintaining order while firefighting efforts continued.

Authorities continued their efforts to bring the fire under control as operations remained active at the site. The incident highlights the vulnerability of critical hospital infrastructure during emergency situations, especially when essential medical services are simultaneously in operation.
