Saiyansh Suri, who serves as the Vice President of BJP Yuva Morcha Amritsar, was allegedly targeted through a phone call received on Tuesday morning at approximately 10:56 to 10:57 am. The call originated from a United Kingdom number, and the caller identified himself as being associated with the Punjab Resistance Front (PRF), also referring to himself as “Shera Gangster.”
During the call, the caller issued direct threats, stating that an explosive device would be used to target Suri’s vehicle. The caller further referenced a recent grenade attack in Gurdaspur on a BJP-linked individual and warned that Suri would be the next target. The threat was extended beyond Suri, with the caller allegedly issuing open warnings against other individuals associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The matter escalated further when Suri reportedly received digital content through social media, including a press release and posters circulated under the name of PRF. These materials allegedly claimed responsibility for the Gurdaspur attack and reiterated threats against BJP and RSS-linked individuals.
Following the incident, Saiyansh Suri submitted a written complaint to the Director General of Police of Punjab, demanding a high-level investigation into the matter. He sought technical analysis of the foreign number and identification of the network behind the threat, along with immediate security protection for himself and his family.
According to sources, copies of the complaint were also sent to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs, senior BJP leadership, and the Amritsar Police Commissioner, underscoring the seriousness of the threat and prompting heightened concern over security arrangements.
The incident has intensified attention on the safety of political figures in the region and raised broader concerns regarding targeted threats issued through international communication channels.
