8-Year-Old Boy Brutally Attacks Special Needs Girl at Haryana School

An eight-year-old Class 3 boy allegedly attacked a kindergarten girl with special needs at a Panchkula school on October 28. The girl was treated at two hospitals and is now stable as police investigate the incident.

An eight-year-old boy allegedly attacked a kindergarten girl with special needs at Sanskriti Model School in Sector 20, Panchkula, leaving her critically injured after a violent incident on October 28. The girl was reportedly assaulted with multiple objects, including stones, bricks and a flowerpot, even after she lost consciousness.

According to the available details, the Class 3 boy grabbed the kindergarten girl's hair and slammed her head against a desk. He then kicked her and continued the assault using stones, bricks and a flowerpot. Despite the girl losing consciousness, the boy allegedly dragged her across the floor.

The girl was initially in critical condition following the attack. She received medical treatment at Civil Hospital and PGIMER Chandigarh. Her condition has since stabilised.

The incident has raised questions about supervision and safety arrangements at the school, particularly how the assault could continue even after the girl became unconscious.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the school's supervision arrangements and the role of the boy's parents. Investigators are also examining reports of the boy's previous aggressive behaviour.

One possible trigger being examined is an alleged threat by the girl to complain to teachers about the boy's behaviour. Police are looking into whether this led to the attack.

The investigation will examine the sequence of events, the circumstances leading to the assault and the responsibility of those involved in supervising the children. The case has brought the safety of children with special needs in school environments into focus.
