General Seth met Russian Deputy Defence Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov during the visit and paid respects at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. His trip marked the first visit by an Indian army chief to Russia in nearly eight years.
The engagements focused on longstanding India-Russia defence ties through shared practices and institutional cooperation. The visit brought together discussions on military capabilities, professional exchanges and artillery-related training, while reinforcing cooperation between the two countries' defence institutions.
