Navi Mumbai Gears Up for Sixth All India Official Language Conference on September 14-15
Navi Mumbai steps up preparations for the sixth All India Official Language Conference at Vashi’s CIDCO Exhibition Centre on September 14-15, with Amit Shah expected to attend and officials reviewing arrangements.
According to an official statement, the two-day national-level conference is being organised by the Department of Official Language under the Union Government and is expected to bring together officials and employees from government departments, public sector undertakings and banks from across the country.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to attend the event.
With Navi Mumbai preparing to host the high-profile conference, NMMC Commissioner Dr Kailas Shinde held a special coordination meeting with officials from the civic body, police, traffic police, Public Works Department and CIDCO.
The meeting focused on reviewing preparations and ensuring that all arrangements are completed on time.
The civic administration has appointed Dr Amol Palve, Deputy Commissioner of Circle 1, as the nodal officer for coordinating NMMC-related arrangements for the conference.
Lieutenant Colonel Ram Naresh Sharma, who has been appointed by the Government of India as the nodal officer for the conference, also attended the meeting through video conferencing. He reviewed the arrangements and shared suggestions with the officials.
Shinde directed officials from all concerned departments and agencies to remain in regular contact and coordinate closely to ensure that the conference is conducted smoothly.
The Navi Mumbai civic administration is expected to focus on arrangements related to the large gathering, traffic management and coordination between various agencies as the city prepares to host the national-level conference.
