Omar Abdullah Unveils ₹9.18 Crore Upgraded Residency Road Project in Jammu
Omar Abdullah inaugurates the upgraded Residency Road in Jammu under the Smart City Mission after a ₹9.18 crore upgrade, while launching foundation works for major urban projects worth over ₹60 crore.
The upgraded road has been widened and modern infrastructure improvements have been introduced to ease daily movement for residents and visitors. The project is aimed at improving urban facilities while supporting the development of cleaner and more sustainable city spaces.
During the event, Abdullah was joined by Jammu East MLA Yudhvir Sethi and officials. He also laid foundation stones for projects worth over ₹60 crore, including an electric bus depot, Tawi Wonderland park, heritage conservation initiatives, and a modern food street.
The newly launched projects are part of efforts to enhance Jammu’s urban infrastructure while creating spaces that combine modern development with the city’s unique character. The initiatives focus on improving public facilities and strengthening sustainable urban growth in Jammu.
The inauguration of the upgraded Residency Road and the foundation laying of multiple projects mark significant steps towards expanding infrastructure and improving the urban experience for residents and visitors.
