India’s Youth Mobilise Nationwide for 100-Week Nasha Mukt Campaign
India’s youth are joining the 100-week Nasha Mukt Yuva campaign, with over one crore participants across 28,000 locations and awareness drives, pledges and contests against substance abuse.
The campaign has continued through youth-focused awareness activities across the country, with recent events placing emphasis on public participation and collective pledges against substance abuse. On September 20, the Rashtriya Sankalp Samaroh featured pledges, signature campaigns and street plays as part of the ongoing mobilisation.
The campaign is also engaging young people through creative participation. A slogan contest has been opened for participants aged 15-29, with entries accepted until September 30.
Youth participation has extended across states, with students taking part in awareness drives through MY Bharat. Activities have been reported from Punjab’s Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, as well as West Bengal and Rajasthan, reflecting the campaign’s reach across different parts of the country.
The 100-week initiative is aimed at building sustained youth participation in efforts to combat substance abuse, with the campaign linking its objective to the vision of a productive, addiction-free India by 2047.
