US President Donald Trump said the United States is pressuring Iran and claimed he prefers a negotiated agreement over military action. He also asserted that preparations had been made for the biggest attack since World War II while reiterating that Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons.
Trump said, "We are putting pressure on them. I would prefer to make a deal because I do not want to take people's lives."
He further claimed that the United States had completed preparations for the biggest attack since World War II. According to Trump, "They called me and said, 'Please don't do it, let's talk.'"
Trump also stated, "We never said that. They respect us." Reiterating Washington's position on Tehran's nuclear ambitions, he said that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.
