Wall Collapse at Under-Construction Building in Jaipur Kills Three Workers, Rescue Operation Underway
A wall of an under-construction building collapsed in Jaipur's Amer area during drainage excavation work, killing three workers, while several others are feared trapped under the debris. NDRF, SDRF, police, and local administration have launched an intensive rescue operation as relief efforts continue at the accident site.
Following the incident, the local administration, police, and emergency response teams reached the location and intensified rescue and relief efforts. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have also been deployed to assist in the operation.
According to eyewitnesses, excavation work was underway near Tala Mod in the Jaipur area for the construction of a drainage channel. During the excavation, excessive digging reportedly weakened the ground, causing the wall of a nearby under-construction building to collapse. Eyewitnesses claimed that at least five workers lost their lives in the incident.
However, Jaipur District Collector Sandesh Nayak officially confirmed that three workers were killed in the collapse. Rescue teams continue to clear the debris amid fears that more workers may still be trapped beneath the rubble, while authorities remain engaged in ongoing search and relief operations.
The incident has once again highlighted the risks associated with construction activities and excavation work, as emergency agencies continue efforts to rescue those feared trapped and provide assistance to the injured.
